DELTA QUEENS MOURN WITH ENUGU STATE FOOTBALL FAMILY ON THE DEATH OF HON. CHIDI OFFOR OKENWA.....

The Management of Delta Queens Fc, Asaba  has Commiserated with Enugu State Football Family in Particular and  Nigeria in General on the death of the Chairman Enugu State Football Association, Hon. Chidi Offor Okenwa.

The Cheif Executive Officer Delta Queens Fc, Asaba, Henrrientta Ehiabor described the death of the football Icon it as a big blow to Nigerian football.

She said Okenwa had huge passion for grassroot football and generally influenced the game in Nigeria.

The Delta Queens CEO who said the Kate Okenwa was an astute  administrator who 
distinguished himself in  selfless service to the growth and development of football in Enugu and Nigeria at large, noted that the icon will be missed not just by the Enugu football family but NFF as a whole. 

She  prayed  God to give the family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the pains his demise will cause.

 It was gathered that  
Chairman Enugu State Football Association, Hon. Chidi Offor Okenwa,
 who was also Chairman of the Nigeria National League, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF died after a   brief illness.

FEDERATIONS CUP:DELTA QUEENS CRUSH BAYELSA 3-1, QUALIFIES FOR SEMI FINALS

OWERRI)The Delta State representatives in the Female Federations Cup on Sunday came from a goal down to knock out defending champions Bayelsa Queens 3-1 in a fierce and tention soaked quarter finals encounter. The Delta FA defending champion went down one nil in the 3rd minute of play courtesy of a free kick strike from one time Delta Queens Player Shaeed Adebisi . The early lead gave the Bayelsa Queens an edge over the Okowa babe who battled from behind for the rest of the first half.
