FEDERATIONS CUP:DELTA QUEENS CRUSH BAYELSA 3-1, QUALIFIES FOR SEMI FINALS

OWERRI)The Delta State representatives in the Female Federations Cup on Sunday came from a goal down to knock out defending champions Bayelsa Queens 3-1 in a fierce and tention soaked quarter finals encounter. The Delta FA defending champion went down one nil in the 3rd minute of play courtesy of a free kick strike from one time Delta Queens Player Shaeed Adebisi . The early lead gave the Bayelsa Queens an edge over the Okowa babe who battled from behind for the rest of the first half. Better Package for The Nigeria Women Premier league

NIGERIA WOMEN LEAGUE Owerri)Clubs in the Nigeria Women Premier League have been advised to pay all outstanding players salaries and give priority to Players welfare or riske being sanctioned. According to a communique signed by Mr Joe Amene, Chairman, Henrietta Ukaigwe, member and Emmanuel Zira- Secretary, Communique Drafting Committee of the 2019 NWFL,The advice formed part of the communique reached at the 2019 Nigeria Women Football league Annual General Congress which held in  Abuja. At the congress, a commencement date for the league was fixed for July 17th, 2019,With the League now to be played on an abridged League format basis of 4 clubs each in 4 groups. Winners Of each of the four groups will play a super 4 to determine the overall winner of the 2018/19 league season and the last team in each of the 4 groups will go for a play off to determine the 2 teams that will be relegated to the pro -League at the end of the 2018/19 league season. NWPL COMMENCES AS DELTA QUEENS DRAW RIVERS ANGEL IN GROUP A: CEO/GM, TECHNICAL CREW CONFIDENT OF TOPING GROUP......

ASABA)With the commencement of the  Much awaited Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL, 2018/2019 league season on July 17th, 2019, Delta State back to back FA Champions Delta Queens Fc, Asaba have been drawn in group A alongside rivals Rivers Angels as well as Fc Robo and Osun babes fc. The announcement followed a NWFL Annual General Meeting which held in Abuja on Thursday June 27. Delta Queens will open the  NWPL 2018/2019 league with an away fixture against Osun babes at the Osogbo City Stadium on match day 1 billed for July 17th while Match day 2 encounter (24/7/2019) will see them host Rivers Angels. Match day 3 encounerter  (31/7/2019), pairs the Okowa Babes at home to host FC Robo. DELTA QUEENS FC STARTS FEDERATIONS CUP RACE WITH A WIN

ASABA)The Delta State Female FA Cup Champions Delta Queens FC, Asaba has began their run for the FA Cup at the national level with a 2-0 win over Osun Babes. In the match played at Ijebu-Ode, The Nigeria Women Premier League side capitalized on opportunities in the first half to seal the game. Maryann Ezeanagu opened scoring for the Okowa babes in the nineth ( 9" ) minute to bring her goal for the team this season to two While Ikhekua Oghenebrume put in another in the forty fourth ( 44") minute  before the end of first half and brought her goal tally to three for the club in two games played so far for the season. On resumption of play in the second half, the scoreline remained the same and the game ended 2-0 in favour of Delta Queens.
