NWPL 2020:DELTA QUEENS FC SET TO TAKE ON ROYAL QUEENS IN LEAGUE OPENER .

As The Nigeria Women Premier League kicks off on Wednesday March 25th,The Warri Township Stadium will host one of the league openers involving Delta Queens Fc, Asaba and Debutants Royal Queens Of Warri in what could be termed a " Delta Derby".
     Ahead of the Match day one encounter in the NWPL, the technical bench of the Delta Queens has reiterated the readiness of the Asaba based side to face the task ahead.
     Speaking, the Chief Executive Officer, Henrrientta Ehiabor said Delta Queens will go all out and not undermine the warri based side as debutants. 
    In her words, " The league has grown beyond the level where you undermine opponent based on your passed records or judging from the fact that they are young in the league.They are our sister side, we respect them and will face the battle squarely."
    For her part, the Secretary of the Asaba based side,  Martha Ihedioha said The Delta Queens team is evolving 
with fresh, new, young and talented players and the Management is  confident the season will be worth the while.
 "Thank God for the start of another season, Delta Queens has a pedigree in the Women League and all things being equal we will work and are confident for a positive result at the end of the season. The league is a marathon, we are starting with our Sister Side Royal Queens in Warri and we are very hopeful our young girls are goal driven.
    Before the draws for the new season, Both teams  engaged in a preseason friendly which ended goalless at the Warri Township Stadium.
   The Four time NWFL Champions Delta Queens Will in the NWPL 2020, rival old partners from last season, 
Rivers Angels FC , FC Robo Queens, and Osun Babes FC in group B.
   Others are Ibom Angels FC, Heartland FC, Adamawa Queens FC, and Delta Based Royal Queens also in group B.
