NWPL DAY 2:DELTA QUEENS TACKLE RIVERS ANGELS
Armed With a point from an away draw in match day one, Delta Queens FC, Asaba will file up against rivals Rivers Angels in a match day two fixture in the Nigeria Women Premier League.
In the South-South derby, the Okowa babes will work towards picking all three points, a move that could see them take number one spot in Group A with four points.
An in form striking force of Brume Ikhekua and Maryann Ezenagu while in a chat with the team's Media Officer Oris Esima-Aniretan reiterated the team's commitment to ensure the home points get to their kitting.
They said the team spirit has been high and players are collectively committted to turning out result for personal success as well as team growth hence they are burning with desire to explode positively.
They commended the Chief Executive Officer Henrrientta Ehiabor and the entire management team for making players welfare a priority.
Ahead of match day two, the Delta Ladies had pulled a point away from home against OSUN babes in a goalless draw while Rivers Angels who recently lost to Nassarawa Amazons 5-4 on penalty in FA finals had a 1-0 home win over FC Robo.
Both teams with a favourable result in Match day one will be looking forward to consolidating with a positive result in Asaba.
The Match earlier billed for Wednesday July 31st has been Shifted to Thursday August 1st.
